And yet it couldnt be done when Spence was healthy. Hes not coming back to a fight like that, or any tough fight, and thats why he needs to give up the title and let someone else have a chance. Anyone who beats him now will, with some justification, be accused of beating a depleted, past prime Spence. Not much incentive.

A Spence vs Crawford fight wouldn't happen until 2021 at the earliest. Spence gets a tune up fight. A Pac Man fight. Then Crawford. That's the most optimistic scenario we have unfortunately.
