Michael Johnson also done a program on this prior to the London 2012 Olympics and the programme showed there was a mixture of genetic, environmental and even historical factors as to why Jamaicans tend to well in sprinting eg the slave trade produced a stronger concentration of healthier people eg linked to survival of the fittest.

Likewise scientific studies have show certain groups of black people have higher bone density etc linked to their white counterparts.

Then there is the environmental debate as to why black people tend to have a high proportion of participants in certain sports eg as a way out of poverty.Hence boxing was a way out for lot of black people similar to other sports although things are changing.

Personally environment may have a big part to play in it though there maybe other factors as well eg environmental eg think of the nature (genes)/nurture (environment)debate with regards to why we have the personality we do.I think the same theory can be used in this debate as well.Hence whether we like it or not environment does shape us physically. Look at humans and animals for one and how they they adapt to their environment. Hence black peoples skin is dark as a way of protecting them against the sun .Likewise Chinese/Eskimo people have evolved slitty eyes to protect them against the sun.

Be interested to hear other views especially those who have been in the boxing game ?
Race isn’t based on genetics though. Race is just a social construct. For instance, there’s more genetic diversity amongst Africans than any other group.

Race is based on skin complexion and other superficial phenotypical traits.

Obviously, or else they would have the same skin color.

Just read the following below.Hence just shows you cant trust no person.I only got my facts about possible slave strength biases due to other so called experts .Earlier posts now amended.

"Selective breeding between ****** with the aim of developing particular physical traits was uncommon, however,[3] as most ****** were unrestricted in their choice of sexual partners.[4]"

          Learnt my lesson:

          "dont trust noone bar God".

It's the will, not the skill. Unless the will is never tested.
Haha I’ve seen it. And we’ve seen it, with Ruiz and Joshua. Lol

To add to this, I think you can look into the different parts of the country these strong and fast athletes come from. I live in the Midwest, Iowa, where we have corn fed Cows. Produce big strong American football linemen and linebackers but very few near the speed of say California or Florida.

These areas do not have vast cornfields and pastures for cattle to graze. They pump their beef full of Hormones to get them to grow faster and bigger as oppose to the Midwest natural approach. They have faster athletes but also higher populations. I do believe some of that could be passed through the livestock but IDK.

My uncle from California loves steaks and grilling and when he comes to Iowa he loads up on steak because the flavor is so much more natural.

This got way off topic but I do think young adults in the U.S. are exposed to steroids, I just think some areas of the country are at a higher rate and not always on purpose.
