''Pac's arm fell off during training camp.''
''Tyson was shot when he lost to the 2 quality opponents he fought.''

The things a fan has to tell themselves

Do you mean the same way AJ gathered his collections one by one?

Todays HW's, with 20+ fights, who would have beaten Berbick, Smith, Tucker, Tubbs, Seldon....
DEFINITELY Wilder, AJ, Ortiz, Fury, Usyk, Povetkin, Andy, Chisora, Parker. All would have been unified champs with ease.

Yes. Exactly. A lot more impressive to become unified champion that way than the way Andy Ruiz did it.

                You are a smart guy.....
3 fights to be unified champ is two levels above one fight unified champ.
                Gracia.

I wouldn't mind being proven wrong.
If someone dominates an era, nobody else from that era will be held in high regard. So Tyson is a victim of his own success.

The eras that are considered "great" are the eras where nobody was dominant.

                  It's all perception.

It's ****** to pretend that suddenly there were no good heavyweights in one era or another. The truth is that if somebody is head and shoulders above the rest, you'll assume the rest suck instead of realizing how great the best was.

Mike was more fortunate than he was special.

Actually, Tubbs vs Andy (that beat AJ) would have been an interesting fight
