  • Comments Thread For: Crawford-Porter on Bob Arum's Radar as "Next" Fight

NEW YORK With Errol Spence Jr. unavailable, Bob Arum has turned his attention toward another PBC welterweight as a potential opponent for Terence Crawford. Arum informed BoxingScene.com that if the heavily favored Crawford defeats Egidjius Kavaliauskas on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, he would like to match Crawford against Shawn Porter in Crawford's following fight. Crawford's promoter previously criticized Porter for his fighting style, but the 88-year-old Arum was impressed with Porter's performance in an action-packed, close loss to Spence on September 28 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

At least Arum is trying to put together some sort of decent fight, it's not his fault that Spence damaged himself. Doubt that he will get much cooperation from the ******uous dude across the road though.

All talk to promote their zero name mandatory. No way is Arum letting Duckford fight Porter. 🥊

Anybody falling for this gimmick....I've got oceanfront property in Missouri to sell you.

C'mon guys, really?? This is merely a ploy to drum up interest in Saturdays lackluster fight. While I HOPE that Arum is serious, I know deep down that he is not. Hell, Mayweather was on his radar for Pacquiao, and we saw what happened there.

When it's all said and done, BUD needs to be calling out Porter. BUD needs to be demanding these fights out loud. As it stands right now, he is simply UNPROVEN at 147. Porter would be an awesome scalp to justify him fighting Spence or Pacquiao

Porter is the only one from PBC with the balls to fight Crawford
