I really hope Crawford keeps his promise about 160 after Mean Machine.

Possible Top Rank fights at 160:

Feel out fights: Horn rematch. See how Bud does at 160.

Zerafa: Top Rank can promote the guy whom sparked Horn.

    Rob Brant: who sparred Spence.

Murata: a real test for Crawford. 10lb Morning rule.

    Y’all game for this scope?

    Crawford vs Andrade..too soon imo.

I knew it was you who started this thread just by the title. Only you keep insisting all boxers move up and up and up. Why the hell would Crawford take on a hard punching middleweight in a fight that isn't even a high dollar fight??? Crawford was fighting at 140 not so long ago and is not a big welterweight and certainly no middleweight. Murata would probably beat him but what if Crawford won? He is a middleweight champion now and expected to fight top contenders like Dervy who would beat the hell out of him. Gamboa hurt Crawford so he can't take real middleweight power from the harder punching middleweights. They have weight classes in boxing for obvious reasons. Quit asking these good fighters to fight in higher weight classes they don't belong in. It's one thing when a very young boxer outgrows his weight class and moves up to fight at a weight he can make without draining. But Crawford is in his 30s and easily makes 147 which is the weight he should fight at.

If Crawford is going to move up he might as well face Canelo at 160 and move back down win or lose.

Boxing is in a bad state, we got fighters moving up to grab one of a million title belts to avoid any risk. So Crawford just going to forget about the top guys at 154-160 to fight Murata in China smh

Money talks, and I would call that a calculated risk if he (Bud) were to fight Ryota Murata. Similar to how it was for Canelo to move up for Kovalev.

Crawford vs Murata is a great fight! I want to see an American fighter taking risks as such. It’s what an All American boxer needs to do.

Ain’t nobody want to see that crap man haha I like Crawford but come on man he’s going to fight the weakest 160 champ to make “history” hahahaha stop the top rank recycling in house fights. You see how well that worked out for Pacquiao

I get what you're saying. Crawford and Canelo aren't the only ones though. Roy Jones Jr fought John Ruiz and Ruiz was probably the weakest titlist at the time. It happens, especially when the fight is available in-house

Only in Boxing. I don’t want Crawford going up at 160 and dropping back down to 147-154 . Roy did it although he had to drop 25lbs to fight at 175 it affected him, Crawford I feel is a KO victim waiting to happen just like Roy and Paul Williams if he wants to venture up and down weight classes
