And you ****ing flip out about it in an online forum, and in doing so, make yourself look ******ed. So he might be ducking some fighters.... and hundereds of champions before him in numerous weight classes haven't ducked or slightly dodged opponents. It doesn't ****ing matter unless you're one of the fighters and you think he's ducking you.... -
Yes you are right, but what did he do to make the fights happen? I am not saying it is completely his fault but sometimes to make a great name for yourself there are sacrifices to be made. Sometimes that sacrifice is not demanding so much money that no fighter wants to fight you except mandatories and guys coming off of losses. Sometimes it means taking on an untested prospect that the media and fans think is dangerous. Sometimes its moving up or down in weight to make the best fights or staying where you are if that is what is best. It seems Floyd has failed to make any sacrifice since he beat Jose Luis Castillo. I wish Floyd would be that guy that gave JLC the immediate rematch after a tough fight again. It just seems that he has become very self-appreciative and now takes himself out of some fights with his ego.Originally posted by El Temiblei dont see how it is careful when he has offered hatton, cotto, mosley,de la hoya fightsComment

I dont like him but I dont hate him either. I enjoy watching him fight but I dont really cheer for him in fights unless I have money on him.
He just never stuck on me the way Gatti, Arce, Corrales, Trinidad, Holyfield and some other fighters have. I really cheered for those guys and I have yet to see a post fight Gatti interview because I change the channel once I see him lose.
PBF is not one of those fighters that captures my heart the way many others have.
However I do often find myself defending him when some try to belittle his obvious prowess and accomplishments.Last edited by Left2body; 08-01-2006, 03:21 PM.Comment

PBF is one of the most skilled fighters fighting today, i don't knock him for making intelligent career choices or positioning himself for mega-bouts with DLH or Mosley(I'd like to see him fight Wright too). I have no arguement against guys who think he ducking or dodging cause it's a valid theory, but in my opinion I couldn't make a point like that cause we dont know what he's attempted to put together, & how those negotiation have come along or fallen apart. In the end if he doesn't begin to pick top notch opposition regardless of their status people are gonna think less & less of him, leaving him to be mentioned along side with Jones Jr. as a fighter who hand picked his oposition, & never faced the best in the prime of his career, but he's still far from that comparison.
