Every great fighter has not lost. Many great fighters have.
Losing doesn’t mean your career is over. Losing does affect marketability given how the networks tend to operate since Casual fans seem to place a huge emphasis on being undefeated.
Losses have to factor in to how we assess a career since it relates to quantity of quality of opposition.Comment

All he did was grab, clinch and run?
Floyd never ran and clinched rarely.
What he was good at was perfect footwork on defense and offense, and getting in just the range he wanted to be at, perfect fighting in the pocket, perfect countering and making the guy miss while landing all of his shots and catching the guy coming in.
You've never been in a fight, you've never boxed, i doubt you can even afford a ppv.
You came into here dlckriding some mainstream fighter and think you know something because you've seen a couple highlights.
Shut your dumb ass up.Comment

Yes, you need to lose to be great as you will just be seen as overrated and were more cautious than people wanted.
You have to come back from adversity or a loss to prove the pedestal people put you on before loss was justified. People will be quick to say I always knew he was overrated once you lose and coming back from loss is chance to make critics eat humble pieComment
