LOL... he's pretty famous here in indonesia. obviously he hasn't reach ODLH, Floyd or Pac level of superstardom but as rightnow he is the most recognasible boxer in southeast asia. apart from pac ofcourse.

Canelo can be global as soon as he makes those adjustments in his persona! He already speaks English but he’s just too busy trying to please the Mexican fans who hate him. Barely anyone I know watches boxing and no one knows who Canelo is.

Remember the first few DAZN commercials with Canelo? No one knew who he was. You could have inserted a generic boxer and would have gotten the same results.

People keep saying Canelo is the face if boxing like Floyd was but thats not the truth. The truth is compared to other boxers he has more appeal but the truth is hes a nobody and not even in the same league as someone like Floyd, former face of boxing.

Most of Canelos biggest fights he was carried by people far more popular than himself. Look at his fights now. Ask yourself, how many fights going forward will generate more money than GGG/cotto/mayweather? None.

Hes not as popular as people think.
