As Pac said...moving up is about speed not power. Mikey went power and was bloated and slow.

And Spence, 2-3 weight classes bigger, couldnt impose himself on a LIGHTWEIGHT. Mikey did what he could do, but was clearly limited. He was out of his element. Period

And yet, having chosen power and not speed, he’s challenging another ww who’s two weigh classes bigger than a LIGHTWEIGHT. And i was at the fight Mikey was in prevent defense 90% of the evemt

Mikey moved up 2 weight classes to fight the largest WW and was never hurt, KD, or KOd. He was grossly outboxed by a LONGER, HEAVIER, TALLER opponent.

Being tough enough to get pounded for 12rds is hardly an accomplishment. Garcia’s goal in that fight was to not get knocked out - not to win. Garcia turned out to be a glorified punching bag because he stole a HUGE check and was tough enough and moved enough not to get KO’d.

The “boring” factor rests on Garcia. Garcia took NO CHANCES which he knew could have led to a ‘mistake’ that Spence would’ve/could’ve countered or patiently exploited for the KO. Garcia didn’t allow Spence to make it interesting. Any truly “tough” boxer can hang around for 12rds if he doesn’t come to fight.
