Fewer viewers watched Jermall Charlo's stoppage of Dennis Hogan on Saturday night than tuned in for Charlo's previous fight. According to figures released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research, viewership for Showtime's telecast peaked at 275,000 toward the end of a middleweight title clash Charlo won by seventh-round technical knockout at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. An average audience of 249,000 watched Charlo's victory over Hogan.

Good to see that boxing fans are ignoring garbage matchups. It’s the only way to get the message across to promoters that we the fans value our free time and will only watch real fights

I guess that's a decent number for Showtime,, bottom line is Charlo needs to stop acting like a diva and fight Demetrius Andrade for a unification.

This man is acting like he can't call out another man because he's a champ but the fact is: Champions hunt down other Champions.

This fool wants everything handed to him just like his fake ass WBC belt. UNIFY the Division! And Canelo will have no choice, but to fight. This guy barks real loud until another dog comes along and shuts him up

That’s not good. Need to keep it with Fox and let Espinoza just beat it

This dude can fight and has a fan friendly style, but if he keepa fighting this type of opposition, the viewership will continue to go down. Hopefully eubanks is next

easy to say, but would Andrade come to showtime or fox to unify? No. Why must charlo give in and go across the street for the fight? Not making excuses for charlo, but there's blame on both sides. I hate boxing politics
