I know. I was just using the math to estimate. Another poster suggested 600-700k US viewers on the app. That means 75-87% of US subscribers watched the fight. That would mean in the other 8 countries roughly 1.1 mil, or avg 125k per country watched.

    Might be right.

I am only going by what the dazn rep indicated most recently. I will look for the thread.

WSJ reported they had just under a million subs in the US last week, I'd take that number as credible, and then 100k+ subscribed in the US for the fight.

          But your point is correct.

Id say 750k is bare min possible in the US, more like 800k+. DAZN US isn't like DAZN in other markets, which has diverse sports content and consumers. People are buying DAZN in the US solely for the major boxing events with maybe 10% buying it for Bellator and never watching boxing, so it's realistic to assume 80%+ of subscribers watched the fight.

Japan has over a million subs (per Forbes). DAZN Japan's centerpiece is Japanese baseball leagues, plus the fight was on at 7am in Tokyo. Ain't nobody watched this **** there.

Showtime is the red headed step child of PBC. Those are horrible numbers for Showtime.

              Maybe.
That a higher percentage of US subscribers watched Joshua Vs Ruiz II than in the other regions makes sense though.
DAZN in US mainly focuses on boxing and (bellator), whoever subscribes to them does it, because he/she is a combat sports fan.

I cant speak for the other markets, but DAZN in germany has a focus on 1) football (soccer) and 2) a couple american sports like Basketball and Football.
Boxing on DAZN in germany isnt a focus at all.

Yeah if you see my subsequent posts I posted its possible. paulf made a great point that US fans buy dazn for the boxing while other countries likely do it for the other sports.

Kind of crazy PBC will be celebrating their 5th birthday soon. Most of their fights are trash. The ones that aren't cost $75.
