Not sure why the onus seems to fall on Joshua, he seems to garner unfair amounts of criticism compared to his counterparts even though he consistently has taken the most risks. How it’s not evident to people even though he unified 3 belts is beyond me
It has nothing to do with the level of competition of either fighters.

It was easy to make the Wilder vs Fury fight until Arum got involved. It would have been even easier to make the Ruiz vs Wilder fight. Look what it's taking for the Wilder vs AJ fight to happen? After AJ makes his mandatories, do you think we will see AJ vs Wilder or AJ vs Fury? I don't mean 10 years from now, within the next 3.

I'd love for him to "tell" Hearn he wants one of the TOP THREE NEXT and not take "NO" for an answer. Even if a belt is taken.

Mayweather wasn't concerned with belts after awhile, he simply wanted to face the best. 'Belts' turn out to be an intrusion after a while.

AJ threw darts at a dumpling this time around, why not go for the legacy gusto now? He'd begrudgingly get his props if he'd simply stop hiding behind the Hearns'.
Not the Mayweather I remember...he wanted to pick his opponents sure, but it was nearly always not who the fans wanted him to fight. He would eventually fight them, but on his terms and often past prime to maximise his chances of winning.

Anyway, I think you're right in that Hearn held back the Wilder fight initially. But he had to get on it when he realised Joshua wanted the fight, it was too late then because Wilder no longer wanted it (and still doesn't).
