    The Eddie Hearn mandatory scam.

Hearn asks the WBA and WBO to both recognize Povetkin as mandatory so Joshua can fulfill two mandatory obligations with one fight. The WBA and WBO say yes.

Hearn asks the WBA and WBO to delay the mandatory while Hearn pretends to want a unification bout with the WBC champion. The WBC champion unexpectedly accepts Hearn's offer, Hearn sends a vague contract with missing information and the WBC champion says he will sign that week.

As soon as the WBC champion says he will sign, Hearn has the WBA demand a date for the mandatory so he has an excuse to pull the unification offer. Nobody in their right mind believes the WBA, known for having four champions in every division, would strip Joshua for fighting a unification, but it gives Hearn the plausible deniability he needs to fool the UK trolls.

Hearn then tells the WBO not to count Povetkin as a mandatory defense, even though he's rated #1 in the WBO and had been publicly confirmed as WBO mandatory, in hopes that he can use a later WBO mandatory to delay an IBF mandatory by keeping the WBO ahead in the rotation.

The IBF sees through the ruse and refuses to get behind the WBO in line after the WBO tried to pull a fast one.

So we now have this situation where Hearn pretends he is helpless as the IBF and WBO mandatories are both due, even though it's a situation he purposely created when he asked the WBO to no longer recognize Povetkin as a mandatory defense.

If what you're saying is true, he is helpless, and it would be a situation created by his own duplicity.

I didn't know Povetkin was made the WBO mandatory I thought hearn was trying to make Parker v Whyte be for the WBO mandatory and the wbo refused

But the shenanigans with Povetkin and the WBA was very obvious Hearn was just pimping AJ to add more heavyweights to the Matchroom stable

IBF are not consistent Pulev was sitting on the mandatory for a while and they didn't call it but were very quick to strip Canelo and Fury belts

Anthony Joshua will now get two of his mandatory challengers out of the way when he faces Alexander Povetkin.

The fight, which will be live on talkSPORT on September 22, was originally ordered by the WBA and so had happen as a result of their sanction.

However, now the WBO have told talkSPORT.com that, as Povetkin is #1 in their rankings too, the bout also counts as their mandatory defence.

When Pulev pulled out of his mandatory shot due to injury, IBF rules stated Joshua could face the next available contender (Takam) and it would count as a mandatory defense.

So Pulev needed to become mandatory all over again, hence the additional final eliminator against Hughie Fury.

The IBF mandatory was overdue before Fury fought Klitschko. Fury and Klitschko both promised the IBF, in writing, that the winner of their fight would face the IBF mandatory next. Then, Fury and Klitschko secretly signed a rematch clause and hid it from the IBF.

When Fury refused to face the IBF mandatory next, he was automatically stripped as his promise to face the IBF mandatory next in the event that he beat Klitschko was the only reason the IBF sanctioned the fight to begin with.

As for Canelo, his team told the IBF that they weren't willing to fight their mandatory due to the mandatory insisting on a purse bid, so Golden Boy ditched the belt to avoid a purse bid.

Ruiz applied for an exception to make a voluntary against Joshua and the IBF agreed as long as the winner fought Pulev next. So if Joshua refuses to face Pulev, he'll be automatically stripped like Fury was.

Why would I be bitter? Joshua lost. Wilder wouldn't have gotten the money or the fight even if he'd said yes.
