Why do Brits dominate the Heavyweight scene?

Bro, you sound like a mental patient. The post seems to infer that the Brits are producing top quality fighters.
Luis' trainer Emmanuel Stewart who is regarded as an ATG in creating top tier boxers wasn't British. Stop being butthurt
Also Pacman was trained by Roach.
That just goes to show that America dominates the sport because trainers are 80% of a fighter's potential.
Such as how Tyson fell off without Rooney or Cus.Comment

Lennox was born is England and lived there for a big part of his early life then turned pro and went back to England
But somehow you’re using excuses like “well the lad went to a gym in Canada” or whatever bollocks you’re coming up with
The lad is British end ofComment

What sports compete for big guys in the UK?
In the US I think bigger guys are being poached by many more popular sports where your chances of success are better than in boxing plus the downside isn't as bad. Boxing losing status in the US & the UK & other countries gaining ground hasn't helped either.
I think with all these quality ex-soviet states guys on the rise they will be taking over soon which likely means another HW dry spell is coming post this AJ, Wilder & Fury era.Comment

Yes. Getting hit on the field or blocked trying to dunk is a lot easier to recover from that knocked out in a ring.Comment

Rugby, people also play basketball.
Don't know how it is in the US but as kids we play more than one sport.
I agree boxing is losing it's status in the US.
Where I live with in a 3 mile radius they are about 10 boxing gymsComment

Let me sum this up for you
black population in the UK 1.85 million
black population in the US 42 million
So taking that into account, it is no excuse to claim 'we have other sports' because you also had those sports 40 years ago and were producing all the great HWs.
What it really comes down to is that the Americans during the cold war era, were really big on athletics, to compete with the Russians...and that's the context that produced the big American HWs.
Then gradually the rest of the world began to catch up.
Then the steroids era began..and in the aftermath the whole thing blew apart and the standards have dropped.Comment
