and that is why he will probably fight Baldi instead of Margarito

    • Baldimor never expected it to go through Zab Judah into the next level he was even thinking of retiring so a big payday against Floyd is probably enough for him to retire from boxing. that is whh he is taking chance with the best and with the guy to and give out the biggest payday in his entire career

We'll see. If you're right, I'll be the first to admit it; but this fight is going to be a lot tougher than many people think. Call it a hunch.

I wouldn't be suprised if Mayweather broke his hand on Baldomir's hard head. I'm serious about that too. The fight could be a lot closer then expected especially when some people don't realize the physics of size.

The thing that's beautiful about Baldomir is his speed and power. People here are focusing all on what he does wrong but totally forgetting what he does right. His pressure is consistent for 12 ROUNDS, his timing is good and he's a precise puncher. He's slow but he pulls his punches back good and he is decent from the outside. He will be competitive with Floyd simply because of the size issue and because his will and determination is crazy. Judah was flustered because he couldn't get Baldomir out of there and we all see how he utterly destroyed Gatti who was getting picked apart on the outside/inside.

Anyone else think the best fight for the division is Baldomir - Margarito, though?
But also keep in mind that Zab was SERIOUSLY handling Baldomir prior to that punch that wobbled him. Keep in mind Baldomir got by Zab Judah with a narrow decision. Do you think Baldomir will win more rounds than PBF?

              • You people assume that Floyd is going to go headhunting...hes going to go to the body strategically, floyd isnt ******. Floyd is going to tear his body apart, Baldomir to the body doesnt look any MORE sturdy than Judah in my opinion, Gatti headhunted, Judah headhunted to a great extent, i dont expect that type of ring command from Floyd. He will do what he is supposed to do, break down his body, Baldomir punchwise isnt Judah, Judah caught Floyd with SPEED, and alot of it, and it wasnt easy. Baldomir can stalk if he wants, but what might end up happening is floyd just moving..moving..moving body..body..moving..block block..body...moving.

Thats how i see it. Gatti was faster than Baldomir, when Gatti moved, he did well, Floyd is obviously 300 times what Gatti is intelligence wise in the ring, therefore i dont see floyd being ****** about it.

not saying Baldi and Floyd will play out like this but did you see Castillo vs Mayweather 1?

agree Floyd is VERY smart..as smart as he claims to be i'll give him that.

he is smart enough not to fight Maragrito til he gets his payday with Dela

you're acting like Mayweather didn't learn anything from the first Castillo fight, WHICH HE FOUGHT WITH ONE GOOD ARM. Do you remember the rematch? The one where Floyd lost maybe 4 rounds? If Mayweather fights Margarito with two good arms the way he fought Castillo in the rematch, we're looking at a very wide and easy decision. Not to mention, Margarito can't move near as well as Castillo and throws the most looping punches I've seen in a good while for an "elite" fighter. Mayweather loses maybe 3 rounds to Margarito...with one good arm.

I DONT CARE ABOUT NUMBER 1. HE FOUGHT HIM AGAIN..HE WON. HE FIGURED HIM OUT. Not to mention Mayweather had recently changed trainers, the 2nd fight he took care of buisness.
Not to mention Castillo isnt Baldomir, the comparisons stop there.

I dont care about that 1st fight, do people ever mention Sugar Ray vs Duran 1? Rematches negate in many cases previous fights.
