too much floyd hate up in here. people are failing to acknowledge how much bigger a mayweather magarito fight will be once floyd has the belt. i think he is both making smart moves and building his legacy by taking out the linear champ. i think floyd wants the belt and then he is going to start making the big plays/super fights.
man as far as his rep goes in boxingscene he's damned if he does damned if he doesnt. if he was fighting magarito there would be a thread this long saying how he's not a real champion until he fights the champion. for the record i think mayweather will notch UD's against both these boys.

No dude don't misinterpret being real into a FLoyd hate.

PBF opens his mouth too much that's why people are expecting from him. If he didn't say that Margarito is an easy work, then later on turned down $8 Mil to fight him, PBF won't be antagonized.

      That as simple as that.

Iiiii really wouldn't count on it. Charlie 31's correct. Baldomir has waited too long for this opportunity....to actually be a world champion; and he will not let it go easily. Floyd will win, more than likely; but Baldomir will put hinm through hell first. This is not going to be an easy fight....and an upset is possible because I guarantee Floyd's thinking this is going to be as easy as you do. Floyd's always been in great shape; but if he's not up for this fight "mentally", the cherries are ripe for pickin'.

No, you can thank PBF. He is in control of his career. I don't recall the exact quotes, but PBF has many times said that belts don't matter to him and he's "P4P #1 oh yeah baby".

Baldomir is an okay fight ONLY because Baldomir holds the belts, which PBF has said he doesn't care about. If it comes off, we'll have to listen to PBF talk about how great the belts are. Phoney baloney.

Arum called his bluff and made him look a fool, but folks have short memories and/or rosy colored glasses.

He was overrated after he beat an unfocused Judah, and now even more so after he exposed that Gatti can't fight at 147.

Gatti and Judah are both too small to fight a guy Baldomir's size. He's never fought below Welterweight his entire career, and we see this very often.

The naturally bigger, stronger guy dominates the smaller, bigger named opponent and then people go crazy.

He might not have lost in 7 years, but he has nine losses and six draws on his record, mostly against total nobodies.

            Glen Johnson of the Welterweights.
If Gatti and Judah are too small, then what of PBF? Judah is fast like Floyd and he lost. Gatti is tougher than Floyd and he lost. If Baldomir is such a bigger, stronger opponent why is he the underdog in a PBF fight? The same way PBF dismantles Baldi (who I like as a worker bee)will happen to Margarito when the time comes.

Defending him is silly. His own words have taken away his credibility. It's not like he ever had to make those statements in the 1st place. Floyd turned down the fight and it had nothing to do with dates. In the video from **********, Floyd simply told Margarito NO and that they could fighter LATER on down the line.

Which is fine with me btw, but it should be perfectly understandable why Floyd is dissed when he sticks his own foot in his mouth.
No matter what PBF does he going to get his money regardless. Whether against a Margarito or somebody else. As long as he is winning the money is going to be there. I'd rather have 10 easier fights at 5 mil. apiece than one ass kicker for 8 mil. and possibly lose out on many more millions down the road. Floyd aint crazy.

                • I personally think it's too "easy" to already be calling for a Mayweather complete domination. Baldomir's cranium is ****ing ENORMOUS ... I wouldn't be suprised if Mayweather broke his hand on Baldomir's hard head. I'm serious about that too. The fight could be a lot closer then expected especially when some people don't realize the physics of size.

The thing that's beautiful about Baldomir is his speed and power. People here are focusing all on what he does wrong but totally forgetting what he does right. His pressure is consistent for 12 ROUNDS, his timing is good and he's a precise puncher. He's slow but he pulls his punches back good and he is decent from the outside. He will be competitive with Floyd simply because of the size issue and because his will and determination is crazy. Judah was flustered because he couldn't get Baldomir out of there and we all see how he utterly destroyed Gatti who was getting picked apart on the outside/inside.

Anyone else think the best fight for the division is Baldomir - Margarito, though?

Floyd's a professional and is always ready to fight. There's nothing Baldomir can do , Floyd will pick him apart and like I said win easily.
