    • Ok good. Whenever the fight is official, be sure to remind me if need be. Once that dotted line is signed then me and you got a bet. The bet is for 400 million officially. By the time the fight rolls around, I will have more points I'm sure. At that time we can raise the bet.

He isn't especially strong. However, he is a decently sized welterweight with standard power against a fighter who started his career at Super Featherweight. It's not so much that Baldomir has a lot of power, but more that he'll have a decent edge in power when compared with Floyd.

        2. I am not a Floyd Mayweather fan at all; however, how can he be faulted for going after the recognized champ at 147? Granted, Zab Judah and Arturo Gatti are not all-time greats, but Baldomir holds the belt nonetheless. You can't blame Mayweather for going through the path of least resistance to get the belt. It would be different if Baldomir wasn't the champ and Mayweather was taking the fight.
Because people like to ***** a lot about Floyd's career no matter what. He can't please everybody so no matter what he does expect to read a lot of comments about him being a coward or *****.

        • When you say you are all about the money, and the number 2 welterweight in the world offers you $8 million, expect to be ridiculed for not taking the fight. Frankly, it's Floyd's own fault for people disliking him.

And he can fix the situation.

Drop the 8 million dollars. Margarito pussed out too. Mayweather had the possibility of fighting Margarito but his camp with Arum refused to change the date to the ones Mayweather had scheduled. Further, Arum said he offered 8 million dollars. We've no idea whether that wa sthe total purse for both fighters or not. Nobody knows at this point. It was brought up months ago and never acknowledged and there was little to no actual ink on it... only speculation, comments, and questions after Arum mentioned it a few times.

Drop the ****ing 8 million. Margarito needs to get on with his career instead of bitching about Floyd not fighting him when he wanted. Better yet, people need to ****ing forget about it and realize there's plenty of ****ing things to talk about in the boxing world instead of just Mayweather and Margarito, for ****s sake.

Um, no. Mayweather said he was all about the money, was offered $8 million and NOT as a total purse...$8 million for HIM. This was obvious ine very piece of news that mentioned it. Floyd never even disputed it. Then he turned it down.

Defending him is silly. His own words have taken away his credibility. It's not like he ever had to make those statements in the 1st place. Floyd turned down the fight and it had nothing to do with dates. In the video from **********, Floyd simply told Margarito NO and that they could fighter LATER on down the line.

Which is fine with me btw, but it should be perfectly understandable why Floyd is dissed when he sticks his own foot in his mouth.

              • P.S. I'm more than willing to talk about something else.

Such as Forrest-Quartey. Forrest is going to kick some ass, although I kind of wish he would be nice to Ike.

                • I'm not going to pretend I remember everything about the 8 million dolalr offer, but neither should you. Arum wanted Margarito to fight Floyd while FLoyd's corner still wouldn't be back, and further, only mentioned it an interview... Who mentioned it? Oh yeah, Floyd's ex-promotor who would like nothing better than to publically insult and try to embarass him.

In the end, Arum took the offer off of the table... why? Wouldn't he leave it there as long as possible? No. He continued to push Floyd to fight in October which would mean Floyd had to break his contract with HBO. Instead, Arum persisted and refused to bend, just as PBF refused to bend. The problem is, if Arum really, really wants this fight as he claims... they should be willing to jump through a few hoops to get the shot they feel they deserve.

I don't have to defend Floyd, for the record, and that's not my intention. My intention is to hope everybody shuts the **** up and moves on. This "debate" has been raging for months and is absolutely pointless. The welterweight division is so deep yet all that seems to matters to 90% of this site is what Mayweather or Margarito is doing. Mayweather is looking at Baldomir while Margarito is looking at Cosmo. Looks like everybody can shut the **** up until the outcome of their fights...

                  But I'm not that lucky.

                  • Let this goddam fight happen.

PBF has a very clear advantage in over all skills and speed but don't just count out the other guy because he is very much capable of pulling out "the upset of the decade".

Baldomir has proven that he has a heart and is capable of rising up to the occasion which is what really matters. I would love to see how he's gonna come out and fight PBF.

Just remember folks PBF doesn't have power in his punches.

                    • I remember everything perfectly clearly. There is no pretending. Floyd turned down Margarito to his face, on video, for the whole public to see. Floyd never disputed that he was offered 8 mill. All he did was turn it down. There is no legit reason to defend what he did. All the evidence points to one thing: that the offer was legit.

Bob Arum is rich. Period. He probably feels Marg can beat Floyd based off the Castillo fights.

Arum took the offer off the table because Floyd turned it down. And if at any time Marg wanted Arum to offer again, he would. Marg will not do that at THIS moment in time because Floyd just turned him down, saying SPECIFICALLY that he will fight him LATER.
