Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua: Version 2.0

By Tris Dixon - ONCE again Anthony Joshua will be calling for the biggest slice of any heavyweight pie after he regained his world heavyweight titles with a commanding victory over Andy Ruiz. Joshua was emphatic. He dominated from range, dictated in close and soundly righted the wrongs of June when he unravelled spectacularly against the tubby...

AJ will never be able to please guys who hate him. So if I were him, I would never even try to. Just keep winning, keep filling the stadiums, keep all 4 of the belts and keep making 10 times what the other boxers are making. Stop chasing Wilder, Fury and the rest of them that don't really want to fight him. And when they do finally grow the balls to face him, offer them less than what they would have got years ago. ****'em. And no trilogy for fat turd Ruiz. He can now go back to the under cards.

Al modern elite boxers are kind of "boring". Mayweather, Pacquiao, Lomachenko, Canelo, Joshua, Klitschko...People also complain about Andrade, Fury..

The most entertaining heavyweight fights in last years are Whyte -Chisora 1 and 2, Hunter -Povetkin and Kownacki -Arreola. But those guys are not elite.

Its funny how when Joseph Parker does the same thing, he gets slagged for being timid.

Joshua follows the blueprint Parker showed to beat Ruiz and suddenly he's a genius conducting a masterclass.

        SMH!

I just wonder which way would Joshua fight against Fury.

Fury is master class in boxing distance. Would Joshua try to beat Fury his own way? I hardly believe.

Joshua should try to stop Fury if they fight.

Parker would out box Kownacki and lay Chisora out.

For all the talk of who's who in the pecking order and who's ducking who...

NO ONE wants to fight Gentleman Joe Parker, the 27 old ex world champ with the solid chin great fundamentals and big heart.

He is the ultimate test for Usyk, Dubois, Hrgovic and whoever the hell else thinks they got what it takes to become elite!

Truer words never spoken. AJ has elevated himself to a level of stardom and superior earning power that few have seen, and so it's time to follow their blueprint - Mayweather, Lewis, Wlad... Let people love you or hate you, make them wanna tune in to see you either win or lose, but don't try and please anyone but yourself.

To be fair, a lot of HW would have got hurt and maybe stopped by some of the shots AJ did deliver from range... He'll still get plenty of stoppages even if he fought that style for the rest of his career.

                  "It wasn’t pretty"

This. It was the most annoying performance in a hw title match I've ever witnessed. Never been a fan of Joshua (I much prefer Tyson Fury and, somehow, even Wilder) but after this I think even more that he's only interested in money (so he HAD to win, whatever that strategy could have been).

Well done to Joshua and to the UK, watched the fight yesterday. Ruiz just came in there thinking he was going to fight toe to toe but ate jabs and straight rights the whole night. To the haters; a win is a win, if you think you can do a better job, you should be in the ring
