Comments Thread For: Hearn: They Wrote Joshua Off - Now He's The Division's Governor!

It was professional and executed in a cool and calm fashion. It was Anthony Joshua regaining his world heavyweight titles. But, let's not get carried away with the 36 minutes of brilliant boxing the world witnessed in the Middle East. Despite gaining his revenge, this was a different and more vulnerable version of Anthony Joshua.

If he’s the Governor then who’s the President?

Respect to AJ for the win. He may be the governor, but he isn’t the President or Vice President. Great comeback W but let’s not get carried away.

In watching the second fight, the best thing that happened in the first fight was Ruiz getting knocked down. It allowed AJ to open completely up.

I would have liked to see Ruiz play possum a bit and fake a few vulnerable moments. That could have been the lure needed to pull AJ into another war.

He was losing anyway why not fake a stagger to draw AJ in? He needed to do something other than chase AJ all night.

Good victory, but the fight was not much of a crowd pleaser. AJ vs Ortiz would be a good one.

Good win for Aj. He did what he had to do but outboxing Ruiz and staying out of the danger zone will be much tougher against wilder . Not sure why aj was pumping his chest though through the fight like he was in a war and withstanding Ruiz power .

Joshua did well trained hard to keep out of 'little arms way'.Ruiz did a Buster Douglas and was a complete let down and should be kept away from any future big fights until he can prove he can avoid completely embarassing himself and the sport.

I was NEVER happy until now that this event took place in S.A. they haven't a clue and this suits the 'fight' they got...they all seemed very happy ....poor sad bastards.

As for Joshua being the Govener ...lol...Hearn just can't stop making a complete prat of himself .Joshua was hammered by a little fat bloke in his previous fight and beat a little very slow very, very fat bloke in this one......period!

Joshua wouldn't last five rounds with Wilder and would be completey out boxed by Tyson Fury .Good on Joshua he did what he needed to do aginst a guy whose purse should be with held.

Not only that, but he was the FAVORITE in the rematch. So who wrote him off exactly ?

This dude boxed and clinched for 12 rounds. Fine. He’s a governor. But he’s no king.
