  • History should have told ruiz 20 stone heavyweights don't do well. Ruiz may have felt good, but I'm sure every heavyweight who got in ring at 283 lbs fe!t good.
But the results don't lie. Ruiz should have known better

        • I feel like this dude went from the most likable fighter to the most vilified boxer overnight, and he certainly deserves it. Unbelievably disappointing.

            • What's the over/under for when he fights again? I guess 10 months. PBC style.

              • Pure excuses.

Before the fight Ruiz said that everything was fine and even said that the weight was not a problem (according to Andy and his team) because of the time change in Saudi Arabia they thought the weigh in was earlier and seeing that it was later he ate too much and drank a lot of liquid and that is why he didn't even bother to take anything off at the time of official weigh in.
So if I would have won, everything ended up nice and dandy.

But since he lost, after the fight he c contradicts himself with all these lame excuses.

He should have done like Joshua in the first fight, that he accepted defeat like a man and NEVER put excuses.

                • What a fraud! Lost me a bit of coin! You fat ****! He had no game plan, no will to win. Just happy to collect a check.

This is why there are all time greats, Hall of Famers, and one hit wonders like Ruiz! There’s levels to this game.

He should fight that fat bald Polish guy next. Hell no to a third fight. Ruiz doesn’t deserve one after winning no more than 2 rounds.

                  • I saw on YouTube "one day in life of Andy Ruiz" and realized that betting on Andy this time would be a big mistake. Surrounded by some freeloaders, eating crap, mopping about 3 weeks before the fight. Zero focus, zero determination. You can be an excellent fighter (and I believe he can mix it up with anyone in the division), but you can simply be not on the level. He became a champion, but did not realize he became the champion. His win over AJ was an entrance ticket and he did not understand that he would need to make a one final, but most important, step to get into the cinema with this ticket to really enjoy the show. And now he will be outside the cinema holding a ticket in his hand. He will never have an opportunity like this again (when the stars lined up for an amazing, life and boxing history-altering opportunity) and something tells me, he might end up blowing all his money away. Because..he's simply not on the level.
