The Ruiz strategy was clear he was looking for one or two huge punches to knockout AJ but the trouble was AJ decided to be elusive. The only was Ruiz beats that is by having massive power in his shots so more weight likely would’ve added power

He’d be slower and more pludding ever had he been 300 lbs

Joshua fought the right fight... ruiz doesn’t have it in his arsenal to counter what joshua offered.. fat, super fat or not he would have gotten his ass beat.. if he was less fat though he would have had better hand and foot speed to chase and counter aj.. he already can hurt aj without getting ultra fat

        I disagree

Being fat is what gives Ruiz his ability to absorb punches and adds more weight behind them causing more damage.

A skinny Ruiz is faster but doesn’t punch as hard and maybe can’t take the same punches

He should’ve bulked up to get one punch power and flattened AJ when the opening came

He was already better when he was 260.. the first fight proved it.

Look what happened when he was 280 plus??
He can barely timed Joshua because he was a tad slower.

They even using it as an excuse now that they are fatter. That’s why they lost.

Openings barely came because he couldn’t do anything with the movement.. he was behind 5 steps.

Make him heavier.. he’d have even slower speed to time the opportunities. And even if they’re present he couldn’t pull it off because he’ll be too fkn slow.

If he’s heavier he’ll be able to absorb all the punishment yes, and he’ll have more power.
But what’s the point of all that when you couldn’t hit back and win????
You just gonna be a punching bag walking in the mud...

He’ll be looking for that one punch all night, and it’s not gonna come. Just like what happened last time.

If the lad was going to gain weight like he did he might as well have just gone for broke and really gotten some girth so he would have one punch ko power is all I’m saying
