May wasn't about ko'ing people and the fans were good with this. Even still, he manages to be right in front of his opponents.

AJ has a great ko % and fans come to expect kos.

Exactly. Floyd/Wilder fans are conflicted by their hypocrisy.

Can understand if you compared him to Wladimir
But that was no Floyd sorry
This isn’t about comparing Floyd to AJ in terms of skills and who is the better boxer. It is about how AJ adapted to a more defensive, safety first approach that Floyd was always known for, yet he is being scorned for it while Floyd was praised for the same running, clinching and lackluster outcome.

Floyd was a defensive fighter who was a counter-puncher.

AJ is a brute fighter who is a heavyweight and only fought like that last night cause he was scared shtless he would get knocked out again.

So what does he do? Gets a ref who wont let the other guy fight inside, clinch like a mofo and RUN and not engage with an out of shape fat short fighter.

AJ should of knocked that version of Ruiz out, but he's not that good. We seen it tonight

AJ would get hit and fly across the ring, andy would get hit and stand there.

Not a great look at the end when the small out of shape fighter is in the middle of the ring and you're running

That's ur heavyweight champ with 4 belts enjoy
You think Floyd never had help from refs who he hand picked to work his fights? Joe Cortez never allowed Hatton to fight his inside game, Kenny Bayless would not allow Maidana to fight his fight either.

AJs performance was what Floyd made a career of doing. Being content to “outbox” his opponents for 12 uneventful rounds.

Yep I saw a few of those posters on here today, they were trying to twist it around like “AJ boxes and he is applauded” and when Mayweather does it then he gets criticised for it.

Funny thing was the people who were criticise Joshua and saying he fought like a girl and running are the same ones who try to criticise anyways that doesn’t subscribe to the Andre Ward or Mayweather school of boxing.

          NO...STOP IT!

It is the other way around, people bashed Mayweather Style but then when Canelo, Loma and now AJ BOX for 12 Rounds now you same people want to go into SPIN MODE and now Praise a guy for "BOXING" and call it "A Master Class" "Brilliant"

This forum has a way of doing this...PLAYING ******! Or maybe some are not playing

As a BOXING FAN I respect all styles, Priority #1 is always to do whatever it takes to WIN! However, that has always been my mentality but for some of you guys, you want to adjust things based on which fighters are using which styles so you end up making a A$$ out of yourself every time

Also a lot of you call Fury Boring...but then want to turn around and Praise AJ for doing the exact same thing as Ben Davison pointed out recently how he was basically a "Poor Man's Version Of Tyson Fury" which is so true

Floyd is not the best ever, made up the "title" and only sycophants accept it. Around the same time Floyd changed his nickname to "Money" from "Pretty Boy", he ceased to take risks in the ring and was called out for being boring by many. You are making a strawman argument in an attempt to claim victim status. I don't know why folks do that, but it's cringe as hell.

I enjoyed watching Josh display some boxing skills, mixing it with some solid right hands, changing angles and levels as best he could, keeping his left active and thumping; it was a good performance.

Honestly, I expected his best rendition of Wlad, and, what Joshua gave us was a step above a prime Klitschko.

Biggest hypocrites of all time. Their favorite line was “this is boxing not knockouts”. Hit and not get hit only matters if they like the guy.

Most people bashed Floyd’s selection of opposition not necessarily his style. Odd thing is, Floyd fans hated Klitschko.

If you think Floyd is TBE because he "boxes" and no other reason.
Then you sir, don't know **** about boxing

Loma doesn't fight anything like Floyd did the last 10 years of his career. Loma is 100x more offensive minded than Floyd ever was at 147.
