That's why the focus switched to mma and lower weight boxing.
HW boxing didn't even 'die'. klitschkos chose to box out of Germany. they boxed a lot of quality europeans.
There were NO quality yanks except briggs and old rahman. Even Wilder didn't try to fight him when he had opportunities.

also, it's not their fault they were brothers. if they were rivals you'll all talk about how great that era was when these 2 giants were fighting each other.

You can call me biased, but objectively, the ref was undeniably more advantageous for joshua, whose entire gameplan was to use his legs and his reach and hold when the distance got too close.

With the ref so eager to break them up and reset the distance.. what do you expect ruiz, the shorter, smaller fighter to do?
I thought the referee was doing an OK job. Later in the fight he was actually giving Ruiz the advantage IMHO as he let him punch his way out of the clinch. He could have jumped in way more like AJ Vs Parker but instead he let them punch their way out

He showed zero desire to win and the few times he trough combos and made Aj move around like Bambi he made sure to pull back as to not screw up the deal.

Horrible ****t this is the crap that hurts the sport but you noobs are either too ****** to see it it just flat out don’t care and ya like to get fuccckedd.
This scenario has played out several times throughout history. Plenty of other explanations than that it was rigged. Andy showed plenty desire to win, AJ just came ready this time. When fights dont turn out how you think they should, jumping to the conclusion that it was fixed sure seems convenient. Ruiz obviously didn't handle the pressure well, and AJ obviously wasn't ready the first time.

If you want to talk about crap that hurts the sport, it's these promoters holding on to their fighters for dear life, to protect their investments. At least Wilder and Fury had the decency to fight each other and try to attempt greatness. Now we will get AJ versus a bunch of tomato cans for the next couple years.
