Ruiz is to SHORT. Watch the fight. Ruiz is stands striaght up. No head moventment, no body movement. He just follows AJ and walks straight in. Ruiz didnt have stamina problems. Ruiz lacks skills. Ruiz isnt on AJs level. Never has been never will be

As a boxing purist, yes, I found it very exciting, I honestly felt the fight could turn completely if AJ lost concentration or discipline for a second, even up to the last 30 seconds. Andy can obviously **** and nearly had AJ in trouble a few times, so I was pretty happy that Joshua showed that if he has to grind out a win, he can do it.

If you are asking me is it AJ’s most eye catching performance, then obviously not, he fought very cautiously and within himself, so against Wilder he would have been sparked out by around round 3. He definitely cannot fight like that against Fury or Wilder, but he wouldn’t have to, because they bring a different opposition.

Let’s not underestimate the mental challenge AJ faced and overcame, he operates with a huge profile and carries a lot of expectation around, it was a new level of maturity he showed tonight, it will serve him well. I think one thing that will change is that he will now take every mandatory seriously.

Also, how many times in the later rounds did we see Ruiz drop his guard, putting his arms down, shaking em out. The guy didn't have the stamina that he should've, that he NEEDED to win the fight.

An Andy Ruiz with good conditioning/mobility (lighter) would have forced AJ into many more exchange (at closer range)... and that's where he would've/could've had a shot at the KO.

after MONTHS of their bullshlt, when it became clearly obvious they did not want to fight... Wilder did start to dig in his heels... he started talking negatively about the fight, and about them... but the horse had well-and-truly bolted at that point
