Comments Thread For: Chris Eubank Jr. Looks To Break UK Curse With US Debut

In the last six months, two British boxers have made their United States debut to mixed results and reviews. First, Anthony Joshua suffered the upset of the century when he lost his heavyweight titles to Andy Ruiz in June at Madison Square Garden in New York. In November, WBO super middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders delivered an even performance in which he was down on one judge's card in the 11th round before knocking out unheralded contender Marcelo Esteban Coceres at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

    Eubank will win.

Most Brits are too modest and in the US it's a different mindset where you are proud of your money and proud of your achievements. That can come as a shock and I think it unsettles UK fighters for the first time out of their home environment.

Eubank trained in US when he was younger. This will be no problem to him

Young Eubank is not winning if he's going to go in there trying to fight like Floyd. That's not his style and Korobov will pick him apart.

It doesn’t unsettle us, we just think it’s brash and lacks style.

United States is full of thugs. Especially the Mayweather Gym. George Groves once went there and ****ed up on their BOYS. They thought he was a soft white boy.
