Comments Thread For: Team Ruiz: Just Hoping We Get A Fair Shake

For the third time in as many career title fights, Andy Ruiz and his team enter as the B-side in terms of promotional representation. Such a disadvantage takes on a new dynamic this time around, as California's Ruiz (33-1, 22KOs) prepares to defend his slew of heavyweight titles versus England's Anthony Joshua (22-1, 21KOs) this Saturday at Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. The bout comes six months after Ruiz scored one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight title fight history, stopping Joshua in seven rounds this past June in New York City.

Hope you get a fair shake but wish you didn't drink so many milk shakes. How the hell are you gonna come in 15 pounds heavier than you just did 6 months ago... for the biggest fight of your life?? Smh

B-side never gets a fair shake. This is boxing.

But that's something the b-side should already know going into the fight if he wants to win.

Ruiz can absolutely stop him. He stopped joshua in his physical prime after just 1 month notice.

Now he's bigger, prepared and has the knowledge joshua can't take his punches.

He knows joshua can't take his punches and now joshua is smaller. He knows full well he can knock him out if he lands.

The question now isnt if ruiz can knock him out, because we all know he can. The question is can ruiz land his shots

Sounds like they are preparing for a long night. Their expectation will be that this will be like the AJ -Parker fight. AJ to jab and run and the referee to intervene at the onset of any inside fighting. Eddie knows Ruiz strengths and won't want those t-rex arms any closer than they have to be.

Joshua's game plan is obviously to stick and move. Thats why he lost so much weight.

He knows full well if he gets into exchanges with ruiz he will lose.

But can joshua magically turn into floyd mayweather after one training camp with no tune-ups?

I don't think so lol. Ruiz is the better, more experienced boxer. He knows how to cut off the ring.

Can't take his punches? Ruiz is not some one punch KO artist like Wilder or even Joshua. He stops his opponent through pressuring and accumulation of punches.

Until the temple shot in round 3, Joshua was eating Ruiz punches very well.

Now Ruiz is 15 lbs overweight, while Joshua is 10 lbs lighter...Ruiz will get gassed mid way through the fight pressuring Joshua throwing combination.

We all know that Joshua is going to HIT & RUN and once Ruiz is gassed, Joshua will stand his ground and unload against the overweight man.

Oh i'm sorry, you must not have seen the first fight.

I was talking to people who have seen the first fight. Sorry for not clarifying.

You know..the fight where joshua couldn't take ruiz's punches, got knocked down 4 times and stopped in 7?

                  That fight.

Ruiz is also the fatter fighter (notice I didn't say muscular fighter)...Joshua doesn't have to fight like Mayweather, he's a Olympic gold medalist and unified 3/4 of the heavyweight division...he is capable of sticking and moving and boxing similarly like how Parker boxed Ruiz in his loss.

Ruiz will pay for this with his title for coming in Saturday being a fat f****.
