    In a street fight?

How could a top boxer really feel that secure and confident with himself, when he knows if it really came down to it, one on one outside of the ring and with no gloves on even an average level MMA fighter could have his way with him on the street?

Street fight? Do those still happen much? Around here, it's straight gun play and nobody stops a bullet.

I don't think they care. Boxing is a fight but it's still a sport.

Both sports are heavily limited in what one could do in the streets, so why would a boxer feel an MMA fighter can take him?

why the hell would they care?? what kind of question is this?? Boxing is a sport and you try to be the best at your sport to MAKE MONEY...WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT A STREET FIGHT?

Look at these two ufc fighters getting washed up by some skinny street thugs. You can’t do all that wrestling bs on concrete.

Street fight? You mean where the MMA guy breaks his head open attempting a takedown on concrete??

I'll clue you in. A street fight, an MMA fight, and a boxing match are three very different things. But in a street fight, I'd rather have boxing skills on my side than anything else.

From what ive seen, people with a kick boxing/muay thai background are the toughest of all.

Boxer beats a MMA fighter 8 out of 10 times because an average street fight lasts 6 seconds and most of the times the guy who can throw hands better wins it. This nonsense that MMA guy beats a boxer in a street fight is just a byproduct of MMA fans' lifelong inferiority complex and a little ret@rded brother syndrome.

From my real life experience, an average MMA fan knows **** all about fighting. Average boxing fan knows little to nothing but that's still better than a MMA fan.

Lastly, Tim Sylvia vs Ray Mercer. Or Mayweather vs McGregor. Conor was supposed to be one of MMA's best strikers. Yet he can't punch for **** and got himself emasculated by a retired old man.

In a street fight, anything goes. A lot of fighters, especially top fighters (boxers/MMA fighters) have entourages, security and people around them, so you can't predict what will happen if things go south in the streets. Usually the ones who gets into one-on-one fist fights are average or no-name boxers/mma fighters, and people like to judge a sport as a whole based on what happens between them.

In a one vs one scenario boxing probably would be less helpful, but like someone posted a video of two guys getting teamed up on by a group of 4 or 6 people. Boxing in that case would have been better because you can always separate distance from several foes, you don't want to instigate a takedown when people are nearby that will try to kick your head in. I know its pretty lame that people need to fight in big packs but some guys are ******* like that and its a street fight afterall.
