floyd has a habit of saying one thing, then when talk starts to brew up, floyd will come out with all sorts of demands. the initial talk, floyd will be very calm and laid back about it. but when it's time to sit down and view the contract, that's when the demand comes in.
Floyd is Floyd, but Floyd knows himself well enough to have the fail-safes in place.

That's what folks miss; Floyd wants to do something, but he's sharp enough to delegate someone else he trusts with the responsibility to do the work on his behalf, with Floyd's interests in mind.

It's why you have Boza Edwards running Mayweather Boxing Club, Leonard Ellerbe running Mayweather Promotions, whomever he's got running Girl Collection, whomever he's got running the TMT brand, whomever he's got running Mayweather Fitness, whomever is managing Floyd's property businesses, Floyd's lawyer, and Al Haymon basically being the point man.

Dana did his job of getting Floyd to be open to the idea of getting back into the gym to work towards a fight again.

It's now left to Dana to negotiate a deal with Haymon that's good enough for Haymon to advise Floyd that it's worth going back into the gym to begin with.

The odds aren't in his favor.

He’s not fighting! Floyd wouldn’t wait another whole year to fight! Especially not on some random October date

If it ain't Pacquiao, Floyd can stay retired!

Floyd has become a joke over the second half of his career. He's become the king of picking handpicked opponents. If he's not going to fight Pacquiao, he can stay retired. I'm not interested in seeing him fight!
