Comments Thread For: Ruiz's Trainer: This is Round Eight - We Have To Seek and Destroy!

The best way for Andy Ruiz Jr to repeat his win over Anthony Joshua is to continue where he left off in June in New York, according to his trainer, Manny Robles. Ruiz makes the first defence of his WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles in a rematch with Joshua at Diriyah on Saturday but having dropped Joshua four times in the first fight, the temptgation must be there for Ruiz to try things the same way again.

I really enjoy AJs frightened look of utter bewilderment from the canvas, as he thinks about the best way to quit the fight.
Look forward to seeing this again on Saturday.

Fighters dont get "frightened". You're projecting your own fear based mentality..

AJ was almost in tears at the end of fight.
He was so frightened he quit, and forfeited his 3 world titles belts. Written all over his face.

This. And if I didn't know better, I'd say he's only taking this fight to save face. I think he's shook. He's going to get stopped again.

This rematch will tell us what Joshua is made of as well as what he has in his arsenal. It’s up the Ruiz to lose this fight

What a ****** comment, even as a joke it was moronic. Just admit it, you missed the fight.

Ruiz should go right at Joshua, throw bombs and back him up. If Anthony can't make the adjustment or gases out...he'll get stopped again. Andy doesn't cover up when he's being attacked, he's confident in his chin, he's fast and he'll punch with you. If AJ can control the distance, fight long and avoid the urge to rush in as if he's fighting Dominic Breazeale he should win by UD.

I may be giving Joshua too much credit but I think AJ is smart and I'm picking him to win by UD. I don't see AJ knocking out Ruiz, Andy won't just cover up and let guys tee off, there's always something coming back.

How does getting your ass kicked save face? That way of thinking only makes sense in the 7th grade.

Its more logical that Joshua took Andy lightly, didn't train and believes he can do better in a rematch.

I will agree that Andy is coming to fight and Andy knows his particular style is a nightmare for Joshua but so does Joshua and I expect him to be more cautious in the rematch.
