Are you insane? Ruiz beats Lewis??!! That is THE most absurd cobblers that I have ever read. You cannot be serious or even an knowledgable boxing fan if you believe that.

It would be if I'd actually said Ruiz beats Lewis!

The verdict is still out on Ruiz. His body looks like he’s hooked on carbohydrates, which could mean he’s not really hooked on professional body conditioning. But if he actually ‘looked’ the part of a professional athlete(?) he’d be on lock to be considered an above average heavyweight (he has POP in those punches). I think his hand skilz is better than Rahmans - due to the speed and accuracy.

The thing is, Ruiz has an ugly obese look, which (I think) will contribute to a lack of recovery time if he really gets a good battering during a fight. I mean, how can the excess flab ‘help’ in any way? Again, to me his hands skills is on point. I have no idea how his footwork would’ve panned out against Lewis or anyone on Lewis’ level.

How Ruiz deals with a Joshua that decides to fight boring with excess clinching or on the run(?) remains to be seen. Imo, It’ll now boil down to credible footwork ‘mainly’ for Ruiz to win this fight....Tyson would’ve destroyed Ruiz....Just my thoughts though.

Ditto, a peak Tyson (and probably a Tyson on the slide) would have been far too fast and brutal for Ruiz.
Let's face it, apart from 'china chin' how many top heavies has Ruiz stopped?

Don't get me wrong, I like Ruiz and i'm glad he burst Hearn's bubble, but I think there is no shortage of fight fans who have read too much into Ruiz's victory over Joshua.
