  • Comments Thread For: Dillian Whyte Admits He Thought About Retirement From Boxing

Dillian Whyte says he has become so frustrated as his career stalled after an irregular doping test that he considered walking away from the sport. Whyte faces Mariusz Wach on Saturday in the London heavyweight's first fight since a points win over Oscar Rivas, a fight that went ahead after a hearing of the National Anti-Doping Panel into the irregular test result.

VADA, arguably the gold standard of drug testing cleared Whyte but his detractors need him sidelined.

The real question is who and why?

First time I've heard this...but if VADA officially cleared him, not sure what the issue is or why anyone is whining.

          Any link around?

Who cares if VADA cleared him? The point is he failed a drug test, no matter what organization it was that caught him. Either he's guilty or not, the drug testing agency shouldn't matter unless we're talking about corruption.

The matter at hand now should be what that B-sample shows

He never failed a VADA test to begin with. He failed a UKAD test, which was administered at a different time than the VADA tests he passed.

The hold up is, UKAD and the BBBoC won't suspend him until all of his hearings are complete and that process takes forever.

It's exactly the same thing that happened with Tyson Fury. He tested positive for the Hammer fight, but by the time anybody found out about it he had already beaten Wlad and by the time he was punished he had vacated his titles due to inactivity anyway.

Nailed by UKAD. Confirmed 2x cheat. Maybe his cycle to avoid pissing dirty for VADA didn’t line up with the UKAD text? Maybe handlers that can’t count. Either way - laughable cheat who owes Rivas a no contest and an apology.
