GGG was never canelo mandatory. Holy crap guys. Don't talk ****. Remember that canelo went up from 154 to 160 to CHALLENGE GGG. Never has GGG been a mandatory for canelo as they were in different weight classes.

Canelo won the WBC MW title off Cotto at the end of '15, man. Golovkin became mando to that title by beating Rubio in Oct 2014 and remained interim titlist til Canelo vactated in May 2016.

He got his title cuz the actual champs at the weight won’t fight him. Yes. Canelo has all but vacated, and isn’t fighting any mandatories any damn way. Charlo has been mando since summer of 2017.

Thats like asking do I consider Joshua a legit champ after Fury vacated. Of course I do. What else is he supposed to do ??

Dude isn’t a ducker. That’s for damn sure. There’s plenty of good fighters who NEVER won a legit belt, vacant or otherwise. This guy has won two, and is still undefeated. His legacy is a lot more than being upset his twin brother was robbed. That’s for damn sure.

He didn’t fight the recognized champ in the ring. He fought Charles Martin, a bum who won his title when a Russian tripped and dislocated his ankle in the ring, then went and fought Klitschko for two VACANT titles when he already had a title.

At the end of the day, my comment was pointed towards you downplaying his legacy like he’s never accomplished anything in boxing and is best known for being upset his twin brother lost a controversial decision.
