The ****, Aids patient?? You realize aids is curable now?

Not that we tend to deal in facts here on boxingscene, but this is entirely false. It isn't curable currently, but managed quite well. I have a small investment in a pharma company who happen to be trialing what's called a functional cure, what you're talking about is a sterilizing cure = kills the virus. As far as i'm aware, these do not exist. (i'm not a dr or an aids patient so double check anything i'm saying )

Right. So many people claiming that based on their eyeball test both fighters have lost considerable weight. I’ll be humbled if either fighter is ten pounds lighter than the first fight. These are huge guys, so it’s not like ten pounds is even a giant number either. I think both will prolly be a bit lighter, but not by that much.

Really? I have no experience with weights as such, I was just going purely on my eye. I think Ruiz will come in a very similar weight, maybe even a little heavier. However I expect AJ to be 10-15ish pounds lighter

I have read Alot of your posts about AJ and many of them I agree with.
In the posts it seems your definitely leaning towards Ruiz winning but in your pikem you picked AJ close decision.

For me, it goes back to what happened before AJ made the mistake that turned the fight. People keep talking about Ruiz having his number, being the better boxer, etc. But, he was dealing with Ruiz just fine and dropped him. Over committing is where AJ ***ed up. Having a mediocre ring IQ is what kept him from coming back in that fight. I think he's also made a mistake dropping so much muscle so quick. But, he's still a guy who I think can take a points decision over Ruiz.

That said, it's SUPER tough to call. Once it happens, half the fans will act like know it alls and say they knew it all along but I really think there's a lot of uncertainty going into this one and that's why it's such a great fight.

I'm like you thinking it could go either way, I mean AJ didn't have and hold them belts if he wasn't a decent fighter.
I'm sort of leaning the other way though.
I think it's AJs mentality that will let him down and once Ruiz starts ****ing it will bring back unwanted feelings from the first fight.
Who really knows though, which makes it such a good fight.

Really? I have no experience with weights as such, I was just going purely on my eye. I think Ruiz will come in a very similar weight, maybe even a little heavier. However I expect AJ to be 10-15ish pounds lighter

I just hope everyone makes their last guess on weights just before they step on the scales. Give a definitive number and remember how far u were off. The better u get at it, the harder u will judge ur margin of error. Part of the fun of boxing is getting things wrong. That’s intrigue. Keeps us watching.

If he survives he probably wins a decision, I think if he fights fairly smart he can defuse most of what Ruiz does by limiting the action. There will still be danger spots but if he focuses more on limiting those rather than punishing Ruiz his chances go way up, it will make for a ****ty fight but he needs this win so that is a price worth paying.

I would be more worried about his nonsense talk though he sounds confused and conflicted. Like he knows what he needs to do but either doesn't want to do it that way or has doubts about it. In boxing commitment is critical to making things work even when the going gets tough.

Absolutely. After the loss, I was immediately comfortable predicting AJ in the rematch. Then, when he started explaining why he lost, I thought he might not be ready for the rematch because he didn't seem to actually know what he did wrong. Everything out of his mouth, along with the weathered look in his face (indicating physical stress from the physique change) has brought it much closer to 50/50 for me.

I'd pick Ruiz but for the fact that this is still a short, overweight fighter, who lost to Parker, vs an accomplished HW who still has every physical advantage. The fan in me says Ruiz but logic tells me AJ.
