Compairing Wilder to Tyson and Ali is way off. Tyson and Ali had exceptional boxing IQ and skills. Wilder always looks horrible and loses every round until he gets his lucky punch. Sure he can get a KO but the problem is that he looks like **** getting it. Loma, Crawford, Canelo always look good fighting because they are just plain good.

Regardless, I do think Wilder does deserve some credit for having a chin and lasting just long enough to land the one good right he needs for the KO. Honestly, if he didn't rely solely on those two things and could actually box a little better, he probably would be the face of boxing.

No one guy is the face of boxing. It is a ridiculous expression. Boxing depends on lots of good fights between lots of good boxers. As a boxing fan I expect to see a really good fight several times a month or more. If only Wilder or Canelo are the face of boxing and they only fight twice a year what do boxing fans do the rest of the time? If by face of boxing you mean who makes the most money and generates the most money it's clearly Canelo. As for the heavyweight champ being the king of boxing that is not true anymore and has not been true for a long time. Mayweather was bigger than any heavyweight for many years. Often the best fighters are well below heavyweight. Look at most of today's top 10 pfp lists and there are no heavyweights on it or if they are on a top 10 list it's number 9 or 10. Middleweights, and welterweights make up the bulk of most respected pfp lists today.
