So you think Wilder would outperform Joshua on American PPV because Joshua doesn’t have enough quality rivals in the United States to make him a star over here?

Do you think America’s lack of PPV stars have also hurt Wilder’s ability to sell PPVs?

Joshua is a foreigner that has only fought once in the US. Wilder is an American that has fought 40+ times. Wilders drawing power should **** all over Joshua's in the US, but it doesn't.

Wilder's PPV won't have even done that much.
AJ gets more from DAZN than Wilder's entire PPV revenue, let alone AJ's PPV revenue.

Of course he would. AJs fight against Ruiz was a bigger U.S fight than any Wilder fight, perhaps except against Fury. And let's be honest, Fury is the star out of Wilder and Fury.

          Those are just facts.

He would do worse than Tyson Fury.

all the money is in the states!

wilder just can't get it! thats why his fights do 3 times worse than joshua's in terms of revenue. ah well...love those hypotheticals though.

You should also compare overall revenue as in, how much PPV revenue has AJ generated? Hundreds of millions. Wilder has only had two PPV fights both of which were flops, especially the second one.

Wilder doesn't generate anywhere near the value AJ does when you take all streams into account. That's a fact and that's why AJ makes more money than Wilder.

It's not because they like him as a person.
I'm comparing their most recent PPV numbers I'm aware of. I didn't count the Ruiz fight cuz it was at a bad time for UK fans. And I'm just trying to illustrate that talking buys when talking about UK vs US PPV is silly cuz UK POV's are 1/3 the price of US PPV's.

I wouldn't go that far but the most money is in the US usually. Although Saudi Arabia might be challenging that in the future if their current streak continues.

You have to understand that one guy is an international superstar who sells international TV rights all over the world and gets broadcast in over 140 countries.

Another guy is not a draw in the U.S or anywhere else for that matter.

Why are you comparing what one guy does in a small market vs what another guy does in a huge market? That just doesn't make any sense, and AJ still outperforms Wilder by a considerable distance.

There are about 10million Sky subscribers in the UK and AJ manages to get about 10% of that to pay for is PPVs consistently. Think about that for a moment.

AJ also gets 20million from DAZN which is way more than what Wilder generates put together.

There's a huge gulf in interest between the two fighters.

International rights are never great cash flows. It's nice extra money and good for AJ with that but the fact remains that in PPV revenue in their respective countries AJ and Wilder aren't THAT far apart which was my point and relevant to the OPs question. You on some whole other thing.

The bottom line is if AJ came to the US with a PPV Bob would be trashing AJ more than Wilder.

Another guy is not a draw in the U.S or anywhere else for that matter.
Wut? Wilder is one of the biggest names in the US. He might be the biggest revenue generating US fighter there is right now ffs. That makes him a US draw for sure.

Some of you guys aren't in focus with reality and overly critical where you think only 3 guys are top ten level and bs like that lol. I mean name all the guys bringing in more money that are US fighters? It's a short f#cking list if you can come up with anyone.
