  • Comments Thread For: Dennis Hogan Insists He's Back At Full Strength At Middleweight

Dennis Hogan has been forced to sit on a disputed points loss to Jaime Munguia for nearly eight months, though he's also put that time to plenty of good use as well. The former junior middleweight title contender will return to the middleweight division for the first time in more than five years as he challenges unbeaten 160-pound titlist Jermall Charlo (29-0, 21KOs), who attempts the second defense of his title. The bout takes place this Saturday, live on Showtime from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, marking his third shot at a title of sorts but first outside of junior middleweight.

Honestly I think he will acquit himself well, for as long as it lasts...Charlo may just be too big, but Charlo isn't a great boxer, Hogan will be able to hang with him there for sure I think...no way he will get a decision though.

Kind of a ****ty fight for that reason...only 1 winner in this one, no way for Hogan to get the KO and he isn't winning on cards no matter what...could be like Smith Ryder.

Y'know, it could be a mismatch and probably should be a mismatch but with Charlo you just never know. One night he looks invincible and the next not so much. I thought he would starch Korobov but he barely escaped with a disputed decision and Brandon Adams acquitted himself quite well in the following fight.

If Hogan can survive the Charlo power, his volume of punches should make it close.

This fight SUCKS I am so sick of the Charlo's ffs. Hogan ain't no middleweight I don't know who he's fooling. If by a miracle it goes 12 and Hogan picks up rounds he ain't getting no decision over Charlo on a PBC card come on.

I'll be rooting for the underdog here.

Unless there is a massive disparity in size, i believe Hogan acquit's himself well for as long as it lasts.

Just like Horn was persuaded to move up weight the same gangsters have persuaded Hogan to do the same in another attempted money grab. Hogan is a busy fighter which makes some think he is winning during a fight but he can't hit hard enough to end a fight in his favour, which his record shows.

Hope he doesn't get too knocked around.
