I hate Rahman, he is a aweful boxer with little support and IMO is way too much. The guy has big and decent names on his resume and he lost to 9/10 of them, not to mention he doen't even the deserve the belt he carries into the ring. Its messed up that some people actually think Rahman is Americas "last line of defense" to the invading Europeans. We have much better boxers than Rahman, even in the Heavyweight division.
Lets take a look at Rahmans career...
Fought nothing but bums for his first four years as a professional, not very unusal.
Received his first lose to David Tua, not all bad because at the time he got stoped he was winning on all cards. He lost but I cant blame him there, it was his first lose.
Fought two more tomato cans and steped in the ring with Oleg Maskaev, Rahman looked decent winning more of the rounds but got caught by a huge right that knocks Rahman through the ropes and onto the announcers table. Its clear now that Rahman drops his guard in the latter rounds.
Rahman went on to face Corrie Sanders, a very talented boxer but has a major stanima problem. Rahman KayOs Sanders, a high moment for Rahman.
Next is Rahmans highest point in his career when he faces none other than Lennox Lewis. Lennox Lewis was heavily the betting favorite with the odds at 15:1 Lewis. Lewis outclassed Rahman for the majority of the fight then BAM. Rahman lands a beautiful right cross that sends Lewis to kiss the canvas. By far Rahmans highest point in his career. This is the reason why some people still beleive Rahman is a great boxer. It was a lucky shot but thats boxing.
Rematched Lewis, Lewis gets his revenge by getting a 10-count on Rahman in round 4. Lewis was also ahead on all cards by a wide margin.
Next Rahman fights a old Evander Holyfeild, who messes Rahman up. The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds but the ref had to stop it after Rahman has the sickest swelling over his left eye. Holyfeild wins this fight by TD.

Rahman gets a rematch with David Tua, not that his first fight deserved it or his last two loses. Anyways the fight ends in a draw.
His next lose was to John "****ING" Ruiz, another aweful heavyweight. In this bout Ruiz outboxed and outclassed Americas so called last line of defense.
After this embarassing streak Rahman decides its best to tone down competition and face some easier guys, I wouldn't call them bums but most of them were not worthy to fight for a title. He faced a old Monte Barett, inexperienced Kali Meehan, and an old Rob Calloway. Barett and Calloway are decent, but were never anything special even in their younger years.
Rahmans most recent bout was with a overweight James Toney where he got a draw in a fight he could have won.
Now Rahman is set to fight Oleg Maskeav of Kahzastan to defend his title. The thing is Oleg Maskaev is now 37 years old and is not even ranked all that high, not in Rings top 10. Unfortunatly for boxing Rahman will get all the praise in the world for beating a old man that wasn't ranked all that high in the first place.
I still think Maskeav could beat Rahman, not due to Maskaev having unlimited skill but due to Rahmans very limited skill.
