I already knew at that time Top Rank had Valdez in mind for Berchelt, and you’re talking about being almost put to sleep after I was repeatedly hit with rabbit punch after rabbit punch. No fighter is scared to fight another fight. If that was the case we wouldn’t get in the ring to begin with. Styles make fights. Berchelt is the #1 fighter in the division so I give him all the praise and respect for that, but he doesn’t want to fight a boxer, at least now. Valdez is a good guy, we spoke last night, but he’s tailor made for Miguel. I’ll like to see that fight from a fans perspective but I think Berchelt takes it. If Miguel and I do fight, and he does win, I’ll give him all the praise in the world, but regardless of what anyone thinks, I’m a fighter who’s willing to fight every and anyone. Can we say that about others? There are champions who’ve accomplished far more than me but still won’t fight certain individuals.
