That was the worst stoppage of 2019. No way was Lopez out of the fight. And I'm sure the referee knew there was only a few seconds left in the round.

The ref was paid to stop Lopez. Why would he say to Lopez you better show me something as if Lopez was getting a beating by Valdez when clearly after the knockdown he was blocking most of Valdez's punches when trying to recover except that one flush that caught him but even so 7 seconds before the round ended and the ref gonna step in and call it off? It was the only way to make sure that a fight between Lopez and Berchelt does not happen simply because Lopez is not a big name compared to Valdez and obviously because of money. I like Valdez but he was not winning that fight and did not appear he was going to win decisively. If there's one thing that became clear is that Valdez can be outboxed. Guess they didn't expect Lopez was gonna last but he proved a lot of us, including me, wrong and it's sad that he was robbed of that opportunity for his shot at a world title. If only there was a way for Lopez and his crew to protest that unjust stoppage but like Valdez said at the post fight interview when he was asked about the stoppage...it's boxing

Big Valdez fan. But I wish that fight continued and he earned his deserved loss.. Maybe that's what it takes to get rid of that good for nothing reynoso! As far as Valdez is concerned reynoso offers NOTHING! Never been soo upset over a win. But this reynoso hypejob is a fu..... fool almost as much as Valdez is listening too him.
