You really brought something to my attention here. I have never thought of it that way before.

Just because Frank Bruno, Oliver McCall, or Hasim Rahman won a title doesn't mean they are some all time great fighters adding more depth to the division. Just because Ortiz has not won one does not mean that he is somehow trash. At heavyweight there are the top 3-5 guys, then there's everyone else. Atany weight, those outside guys can give the top 3-5 guys hell, in any era. That's why they fight the fights.

You are spot on! It’s why Ruiz beat AJ. Every now and then a top 10 beats a top 5 and either they are beaten within a fight or two or become one of the top 5. Its been this way for a very long time.

Yes, Wilder is a hard puncher. The difference? Sonny Liston was a murderous puncher, PLUS he had a jab that was practically impossible to stop. Wilder? All he has is a punch. Any talented boxer embarrasses him unless they get caught. That's a recipe for disaster and a roadmap to a rude awakening sooner than later. Wilder has pathetic footwork and non-existent boxing skills STILL. He's never caught on, and he never will catch on. Fighters who cannot box do NOT end well. If not for his willpower, he'd have been finished by now. IMO Fury outboxes him to an easier decision win than the first fight... which most observers had Fury winning anyway. It will be a great fight, just like the first one.

Liston would of crucified Wilder while ridiculing him. That jab alone would make him respect.
