Harris Calls Out Hatton at 140 or 147!!!!!!!

Hatton has now turned down Floyd, he wont give Callazo a rematch, and he said he would fight Chico but hasnt mentioned his name since, and now he has a great opponent in Harris who will fight him at 147 or at 140 where Hatton is better and wants to come back down to.

I still say that Harris beats Hatton or Cotto. Smokin made a thread about people flipping on Harris but he cant say that at all about me because I jumped to his defense after the Mouse fight and said that people are overreacting to the loss. I did the same for Zab against Baldy because you can tell they didnt bring there A game but atleast Baldy can back his up while we all know Mouse was a joke. Then anyone who watched the fight could easily see that Harris was killing him but he just ran out of gas and he had alot of problems going into that fight.

Dont fight Urkal who Harris has already beaten twice and Harris would probally even go to England to make this fight. If Hatton beats Harris then no one can clown him anymore. This is a big fight and I say Harris beats him. Tell me who you think wins, how, and why? Would you pick a different guy to win at 140 then you would at 147? BTW, the story is on BT if you want the link

I'd rather see Hatton/Harris than Hatton/Urkal as well.

I think Hatton wins this. To beat Hatton (in my opinion) you have to either:

A - Be very physically strong with good boxing ability and power

        or

B - Possess great boxing skills, movement and defense

Harris tends to get drawn out of his gameplan in his fights and he'd have a very rough time fighting his fight with someone who is as physical as Ricky. Hatton would maul him and would stay in his chest...ripping those left hooks to the body when he got in close. I think Harris would be worn down late in the fight and wouldn't be able to sustain an attack to hurt Hatton like Collazo was able to. Harris would have some success with the right hand early, but he'd be outlanded and outgunned down the stretch. Hatton TKO10 Harris.

Hatton by later round KO or TKO. Harris is not a world class fighter to me. Some can write off his loss against Maussa to a poor performance, but that is not what I saw then and after. I have two problems with Harris. First, he doesn't seem cut out to fight on a big stage. When he had his chance against Maussa he totally choked and tried to KO him in the first round. Regardless of excuses, that is not how a world class fighter fights in that situation. Secondly, I think his ability to fight in close is questionable. Even in a "dominating" performance against Stevie Johnston, Harris looked vulnerable at points. Johnston was effectively boxing him at certain points in close and Harris didn't have an answer. If he had trouble against a guy he was clearly beating, what is going to happen when Hatton crowds him for every second of every round. I think in the end Harris shows he has questionable stamina, chin, and heart and is stopped by Hatton.

Might as well call him out, Hatton will dodge him too. Now Hatton IS ducking quality opponents. He said he would give Collazo a rematch and not has backed out.

I went with Harris...and I'll be honest why. I am not too farmiliar with him, and based on what I saw in his last performance I think he is long and powerful enough to get the job done. Ricky did not impress me in his last fight, so I think the weight the fight occurs at is a big factor, too. Honestly my choice is a bit short-sighted as I know nothing much about Harris.

although Harris has a great right hand he still seems to have stamina issues. Hatton would bust him up early wiht body shots and eventually stop him.

A more interesting fight would be Corrales vs. HArris

This is a terrible fight for Harris. Hatton will absolutely destroy him. Harris has no stamina, and Hatton has more than anybody out there right now.
