Roy needs to move up in weight

Before the Ajamu fight started, Roy was interviewed by the bobo sports channel he was fighting on and said he's a 'fat boy' now and may want to move up to cruiserweight. I think it was obvious he had trouble making weight, and he made that known more than once in interviews leading up to the fight.

I think if he moved up to cruiser, he could get a little snap back in his shots, and have a little more stamina. If he's going to fight Glen or Joe, he should do it at a catch-weight of 190 lbs. Roy could get Shilstone again, workout hard without worrying about weight, and go out looking his best.

His body has never looked the same since he came down, nor has it acted the same. At 190 he can reverse that to some degree.

I'd be very suprised if he had trouble making weight, because he has a small skeleton. He's definately not a natural LHW or even close.

He'd probably lose some of his already lost speed. Also obviously the guys hit harder. I'm not sure if Roy can still take a good punch.

Meet Joe at a Catchweight of 190?

        You serious?

That's 22 lb's over what Joe is used to, Joe might aswell call out Floyd Mayweather.

I think a Roy Jones jr / Chris Byrd fight should be made.

Roy would not get hurt in this fight. Byrd should move down and fight Roy at Cruiser. Just a suggestion.

Joe has LOADS of trouble making 175 and he himself might agree to fight at 190.

He'd probably lose some of his already lost speed. Also obviously the guys hit harder. I'm not sure if Roy can still take a good punch.
Roy'd be fighting either Joe or Glen according to him, and they are not natural cruiserweights. Roy has trouble making weight ever since he put on 200 lbs of muscle. He lost a lot of it, but it's damn near impossible lose all of what he put on...so he has those extra lbs leftover, depositied in odd places on his body (notice the weird-shaped muscle on his back around the shoulders that seem left over from when he was at 200?).

If Roy can get one of those guys to fight him at 190, it will help Roy because at his old age, he needs all the stamina he can get. The difference between having to cut weight at 37, as opposed to getting to GAIN weight for a fight = a significant difference in energy.

Calzaghe hasn't fought at 175 that I know of. He has trouble making 168 and has wanted to fight at 175 for awhile now. If that fight happens it won't happen at 190.

Jones can make 168 easily, I'm sure.

Joe has trouble making 168, which is why he's contemplating fighting at 175.

But he can still make 168.

No way would he accept a fight with RJJ at 190, it's ridiculous to even speculate that.
