Yeah well that would have been like a 21 year old Floyd fighting Oscar de la Hoya. ODLH would have smashed him easily plus Canelo had no ameture career so I wouldn’t brag about that as if on a level playing field the fight wouldn’t be different. Canelo outskilled Cotto who basically scored closed to a draw vs Floyd and notice how I said outskilled. I said that because he could have KOd him but that proves nothing skills wise. But I understand this is all hypothetical so who knows. I’m just saying that Floyd loss meant nothing, it was a schooling that he needed at the time

But he did have an amateur career?
Canelo even said himself on showtime all acces that he even fought cubans in the amateurs. Also he had over 40 fights and had a belt so idk if he wasnt ready for floyd then then he would never be.
Lmao floyd fought a better and younger version of cotto than canelo did and floyd came close to stopping Cotto in the 12 round while canelo never even hurt cotto lmao

Doesnt matter. He got humiliated. He accepted the catchweight and got schooled. The only thing that changed is he got bigger.
