I think he should defend his title next fight or vacate. If he doesn't defended his title until the end of the year that is a very long time for his titles to be on hold. It's sad he got hurt but it's his problem and should not become the problem of the two world titles he owns. He should heal on his own time. He doesn't have to fight the best contender but at least defend against a top 10 guy within a year from his last defense against Porter. His problem should not become the problem of an entire weight class. I say this as a big Spence fan.

His mandatory is fighting Lipinets in February. He could easily comeback and fight that winner in the summer.

Spence was protected before the crash and the protection will only get more obscene after the crash. The Crawford fight was never the plan for Haymon or Spence who does whatever Haymon tells him to. We only saw Spence vs a series of PBC employees and that's all you're ever gonna see from now on.

No doubt a very dumb move, but he is not the first youngster to make crazy mistakes. I have herd about him drinking but why do people think he's an alcoholic? Personally I stopped drinking years ago because I do dumb stuff whilst drunk, I am not an alcoholic, I hardly drank in the first place.


Personally I was always more of a Bud Crawford fan, but still want to see the them face off.

I dont dislike him, I just dont find him that interesting. He is one of the top talents at 147 but the right fights are not materializing. We need to see him against an equal talent to see how good he really is.
