Next Saturday night, both will look more or less the same as the first fight. There have been way too many stories devoted to “Ruiz cutting weight” and “Joshua cutting mass”. We should find out if Joshua has chin and heart. That will be the major factor.

A lot of boxing experts have been saying the same over the last few months, and I agree. Ruiz needs to worry about getting in shape. If that means losing a few pounds, sure, but he shouldn't purposely try to lose weight just to lose weight. It could ruin his balance and punch resistance.

Why not come in the same shape as the first fight? It worked rather well.

By making a change it suggests that Ruiz knows the first fight was a fix and he has to be much much better this time.

I think Ruiz's weight loss has been exaggerated.

But a drastic change in body shape can affect his timing and maybe combination hand speed.

I seen Ruiz fight one time at 250 rather than 260 and he was much quicker just my 2 cents

I think it's the best thing he could have done. Cut weight. He will need to be in shape to chase Joshua 12 rounds. I truly believe all Joshua has to do is finish the 12 rounds and even if he loses, he will get the nod.
