Casual is a scale isn't it? I'd say most of you are casuals. You casually get online, casually catch videos, casually read articles, casually talk **** online, and casually form opinions; you're a casual.

It's not 09 anymore. Just being on a social media and talking about the hot topic issues on said platform doesn't make you hardcore; everyone with a passing interest in anything is online running their ****sucker like they know something....just makes you normal in 2019.

Having no depth. Having nothing to say but your opinion, that's the mark of a casual and most of youse wear it well. Usually hateful.

That said, historically speaking, casuals talk about whatever the media tells them to. Politicians and media saying immigration=bad and Irish above all else should not be allowed in America, made American boxing. It caused a casual interest in every **** across this nation who had hate for the irish. Of course when the Irish career criminal fell to the American politically charged anti-Irish the media had a field day and the casuals ate it up.

Don't like US examples? In the UK when Daniel Mendoza told them *****es jump in editorials in Time and such papers of his day, his nation responded with a yessir right to it sir. Without their unwitting support Mendoza would have never had the power to revolutionize boxing and create the points fighters we enjoy today. Being ***ish in the 18th century when the Inquisition was kicking about really hurt the feelings of the UK white christians. Almost a national demand to have the champion removed.

You ever thought the timing for Schemling and Carnera was a bit fishy? Just happens to be the only time in history a German or Italian becomes champion at HW just happens to coincide with the rise of fascism? Casuals made it happen. The ******* propaganda machine started up, changed the perspectives of some europeans and whap, ****, boom, you've guys in favorable ranks who just happen to represent those ******* nations.

How old does this go? Ancient, my dude Theagenes of Thasos was preceded by a story about how he stole a statue of a god from its holy place and took it home. A punishment that usually carried death. Theo was only just ten or so at the time so the priests ruled if Theo was so blessed by the gods as to return the statue under their watch and without aide he could walk free. Theo was a bad mug, of course he walked free. Of course the story is really just a story to put over a young man and get people interested in his fights. It worked, he is boxing's first bad boy and his fames was so much that even German pagans would worship the champion let alone his own Thasians

More recently? Y'all know if I cover a recent event you'll cry, argue, and explain your opinion to me, so, I'll try for something a little benign: Where did this " The WBC is prestigious" come from?

I know, because I'm the ******* who explained, not the media, not the WBC, not Floyd, I know it has nothing to do with their roots, their roots was just a logical reasoning to okay their claim or at least not be too upset by it. The media started reporting the WBC is prestige and folks just followed that ****. Tell one another their opinion while no one actually came with the goods to prove or disprove anything outside of what was already printed in the media.

But da WBA older doe for the haters

But da WBC champions doe for the supporters.

both arguments handed to you by a casual source for information, no work done, and so no info to share but what is known by everyone and your own opinion of what is known by everyone.

Tyson Fury's lineal status? Ring having dictated what lineal means for so many generations has left many, including respected boards and orgs, with lineal lists that make no sense at all. The most accepted lineal lists all have Corbett until he lost to Fitzs while claiming Fury vacated the title when he retired. That comes from Ring! This idea that #1 fights #2 for the championship, also Ring. Who doesn't explain Wlad using that logic? Ring does, CBZ does, LBC does, TBRB does.....Sullivan's era knows nothing of rank....someone made up some bull didn't they? And when youse argue this what is it you pull from? TBRB? Ring? CBZ? Dictated to you by Ring in a time when Ring went unchecked and unquestioned because their founder, who was just a plagiarist who added some fanciful events to stories to add some ****e, was well respected as not a but the historian.

For many years fans were confused and thought the Ring belt was the lineal belt. That's the power of media over casuals. Today what is lineal is a choice. you can choose to follow the old ways or just listen to the widely accepted reasoning Ring handed down for generations. Neither more correct than the other, one is more historically accurate though.

Finally, the best trick the media has for the casual is treating them like they are well informed while lying to their face and knowing full and well this uninformed mark will never noticed because they lack the knowledge to question the narrative and are too lazy to ever attain it.

Let me leave on this, loads of people been accusing me of trying to come off as smarter than you. You're just insecure, dudes who write youse and yer and curses all the time are not going for intellectual. I can, will, and have out worked you though. Nothing I ever say comes from a secret hidden source. It doesn't take a smart man to find information. The only reason you did not already know is because you are lazier or less skeptical than I. Respect the grind, or, at least get the criticism correct.
