I don't think he will ever fight Beterbiev. I think Beterbiev would beat him and Canelo knows it. What is Canelo going to do with his WBO world light heavyweight title? Will he defend it against a top contender ? Will he vacate it? Will he try to unify by fighting Bivol and Beterbiev?

You know damn well who Beterbiev is and so does Canelo. He is a monster who has knocked out everyone he has fought and is the lineal light heavyweight champion. As for who he has fought vs who Canelo has fought Let's see. He just knocked out a guy who would probably beat Canelo and anybody Canelo every fought except maybe GGG and Canelo won't fight GGG again either. Canelo is a good judge of boxing talent and knows who he can and cannot beat. That's why he fought old washed up Kovalev instead of Bivol or Beterbiev. Canelo says he loves challenges and Beterbiev is his biggest challenge. Everybody knows it. Question is will he take that challenge. I doubt it.

Canelo is right not to waste a fight on this guy. Canelo is an important active champion and nobody who is a real boxing fan wants him to fight anybody but the best boxers in his weight class or classes in his case.

It's a complete different thing for sure boxing is hands only and a bs clinch. Mma is hands elbows knees and kicks oh yeah plus various grappling. It does good business but I'd take canelo in decision if it's boxing maybe late round ko but if mma of course masvidal. The only sports that should do crossover is boxing and kickboxing or kickboxing and mma especially a Dutch style kickboxer. Multiple kickboxers have crossed over to boxing and done well Chris algerie Tyrone Spong neiky holzken Dillion whyte and Miller in heavyweight. Multiple kickboxers crossed over a done well in mma Stephen Thompson Alistair overeem mark hunt. Because Dutch style kickboxing uses boxing to set up kicks or kicks to set up boxing it's easier for them to switch to boxing then cause it's a striking sport that's used the 8 limbs they already are better strikers than most mma fighters so now only have to learn grappling and submission for me which could learn in about a year and by year 3 would be of bjj and wrestling could compete against the elite in mma and hold there own or win

If you think MMA is so superior to boxing why are you on this boxing forum instead of an MMA forum? Of course guys from the other fighting styles want to become boxers because pro boxing is where the most money is at. Top boxers have no interest in becoming MMA fighters because they are already in the best paying sport.
