He would have built his name a lot bigger if he beat wilder in rematch instead of fighting bums.

Unless he's not confident of winning. And just looking for a final pay day.
He is getting guaranteed money. The PPV might've flopped or he could've lost if they did the rematch immediately and then those $10 million paydays against the Tom Schwartz and Otto Wallins of the world wouldn't have been there.

A lot of people in the boxing media expect the rematch to do at leat 1 million buys. They are also getting a huge site fee from MGM. None of that would've been there 7 months ago when they were planning on having the rematch in Brooklyn.

If he had taken Wilder in rematch 7 months ago and won, he would now have a belt and be world famous and be able to make a MEGA fight with AJ/Ruiz winner. and he could have already had another huge fight against top 5 big name.

There is no way fighting 2 bums is good for anything.
If anything he has lost fans because of it. Not gained them.

That's a big if. Nobody can predict the future. He took a calculated risk and will get the biggest payday of his life in the rematch.

of course, That demonstrates my whole point. Fury isnt confident of winning and knows Wilder fight could end his career. So tried to make easy money.

Was nothing to do with "building" the fight up

The money is only there if the promoters believe the second fight will be bigger.

Team Fury is laughing at the wilder vs Ortiz fight they were expecting a very quick fight . They know Wilder just can't improve and not to a better prepared 6'9 giant . They are laughing because they know they got this one in the pocket and will leave no robbery possible even if it takes knocking Wilder out, which ultimately is the answer because you wont get him on scorecards but Fury comes with a 85 inch reach ,the judges will be under a scope in this one.

Fury beat that man from pillar to post. Why wouldn't he be confident he can finish the job and send Wilder out on an stretcher?

Wilder would never go to Europe and fight because he knows without the help of US judges he has no chance at all.
What you on about? Wilder went to England to smash Audley Harrison

Looking at the last fight pillow fisted fury couldn't have knocked out Wilder even in 100 rounds. You know very well the only hope fury has of winning is to run/spoil/bore and win on points like he always does.
