How far does a UD against a 2019 Cristian Hammer get you nowadays?
Christian Hammer was Tyson Fury's last UD prior to winning against Klitschko.

“Ortiz, you definitely have to take your hats off to him,” said Wilder, who stopped Ortiz in the 10th round of their first fight in March 2018. “He’s definitely one of the most dangerous men in the heavyweight division. I always say that’s why none of these other heavyweights do not wanna fight him. And he proved that [Saturday night]. Hopefully, you know, they’ll give him an opportunity now. Maybe they’ll see little kinks in his game and give him an opportunity that he truly deserves.” -D.Wilder

Ortiz should have taken the Joshua fight for 4 belts. But instead he chose to get knocked out by Wilder for a 2nd time. Great choice Luis!
He will be even more avoided now because what does anyone have to gain from beating a 40 year old with no belts? They will just have everything to lose

Guys like Hunter, Takam, Chisora, Povetkin, Parker, Pulev, Rivas would embrace the chance if offered something good. What stops his team from pairing him with in-house guys like Martins, Ruiz, and Kownacki?
Ortiz should stop crying and do the needful, only then he can tell us who and who turned him down.

Originally posted by BoxOfficer View PostHonestly, I'm struggling to understand the excuses you've made out for Team Ortiz. Other Contenders/Fringe Contenders are making fights happen. Whyte offered and fought Rivas. Before that, Rives fought Jennings (in-house). Whyte offered and fought Parker. Earlier Parker fought Takam. Hunter would be fighting Povetkin soon. Earlier, he fought Kuzmin. Kabayel fought Chisora. Chisora fought Takam. Kownacki fought Martin (in-house). All these guys could have easily avoided those fights, but they didn't.
When its time for Ortiz, we see guys like Cojanu, Kauffman, Hammer. Let him go out there and make offers to Kownacki or Povetkin, and if they turned him down, then he can let us know publicly. Enough of the crying.
