I think those guys maybe dont understand money in the same way we do coming from their system in Cuba. Too many of these guys act like they hit the lotto when they get their initial deal.

Whatever Joel Casamayor did the rest of these mfers need to follow suit doe. He needs to manage these guys or something idk cuz he was the best by a mile at retaining his focus in and out of the ring of any recent Cuban amateur that I can recall. Rigo didnt fail but seemed to step into trouble far more times than Joel did & lost many good years because of it.

      Younger and better than Ortiz.

Solis was on the A team his entire amateur career, Ortiz was on the b team.

He broke his knees on one of those pillow-like Klitschko ring canvases if I remember right.

That's because Solis and many other Cuban great amateurs who didn't do as good in the pros was raised in a poor, communist country with no opportunities.

Once they move to USA and see all the distractions and opportunities they lose their minds.

Communist athletes are fed and housed by the government, while he would be fed well by Cuban standards, he couldn't pick and choose what he wanted. It's been quite common to see boxers, hockey players, baseball players lose self discipline once they can choose what they want to eat themselves and have money in their pockets.

Solis had skills for days, but when your heart and desire don’t match it you ain’t going anywhere. Dude was known for not training hard and being lazy in the gym.

                      Solis was ****.

Teo was overrated too and would have been iced by Ali, easy work.

Cuban boxing is vastly overrated especially at HW. I'm not impressed by their ability to float in the Ams. Places like Hungary, Uzbekistan, and India do well in ams too, no one pretends like they're worth a **** in the pros, but, dat Cuba doe.
